Companies: the 5th edition of PmeXchange announced from 11 to 15 March 2023, after the failed merger with FIAC

(Invest in Cameroon) – The 5th edition of the Salon PmeXchange, a major event for SMEs and SMIs in Cameroon, will take place from 11 to 15 March 2023. “For five days, PmeXchange will bring together all the actors involved in the development of SMEs/TPI/SMIs and start-ups, with the central theme “the contribution of SMEs to the structural transformation of the economy through the sector approach”., we learn in an official statement signed on December 16, 2022 by Protais Ayangma (photo), the president of the employers’ association Entreprises du Cameroun (Ecam).

Ecam will finally organize this event alone, after a failed merger with the International Business and Trade Fair (FIAC), organized by the Cameroonian government through the Inter-progress Foundation. We remember that on September 20, 2019 in Douala, the economic capital, the organizers of these two economic meetings had signed a partnership in this direction.

Concretely, it was a question of merging these two events under the baptized name «FIAC PmExchange», in order to better value Cameroonian companies, it had been learned. But, “FIAC PmExchange” never happened in April 2020 as originally planned, due to the coronavirus pandemic. And since then, the partnership between the two organizers has become obsolete, good sources say.

PmeXchange 5th edition is positioning itself as a showcase event of the year 2023, with new opportunities for the actors of the Cameroonian economic ecosystem. New edition, new approach with in particular: a focus on SME/PMI financing by sector, a hybrid show, where all the activities in face-to-face integrate digital», announces Ecam, the organizer of the Show.
